Wings sign right back Myles Judd – Welling United

Welling United are pleased to confirm the arrival of left back Myles Judd.

The 25-year-old is a product of Leyton Orient’s academy, having risen through the ranks at Brisbane Road and eventually making 66 senior appearances for the O’s. He played his part in their return to the EFL by winning the National League title in 2019.

Judd was also named as EFL’s League Two Apprentice of the Year in 2017.

During his time at Orient, he took out loans at Hastings United (2016) and Barnet (2021), before moving permanently to Dover Athletic in 2022.

An 18-month spell at Crabble led to Judd joining Hemel Hempstead Town last season and now he arrives at Park View Road as Rod Stringer continues to build his squad for 2024/25.

After putting pen to paper for the Wings, Judd said: “I’m a right-back so I like to get forward and get crosses and I don’t mind a challenge!

“The gaffer is definitely the kind of manager I want to play with. He is honest and tells it like it is, and that is the kind of manager I definitely want to play with.

“I’ve played with Reece Grant before at Dover and Hemel. I spoke to Granty and he said he’s the kind of manager I could get along with.”
