William E. Brundige Ballston Spa – William E. Brundige passed away on June 1, 2024 at his home in Ballston Spa, New York, after a long illness. He was born on October 12, 1946 in Amsterdam, New York, the son of William C. and Georgia M. Brundige.

Bill graduated from Galway High School, where he excelled in athletics. He attended Bryant College and eventually took over as owner/operator of Brundige Oil Company. He served in the Navy from 1967-1969 and was stationed in Key West, Florida. A proud member of Galway Volunteer Fire Company for 19 years, he in due course served as president. He was an avid sports fan and never missed a Yankee game. His hobbies included golf and bowling, the last four of which he played 300 matches.

Kind and caring, he never met a stranger and cherished his many friendships. Bill will be remembered for applying his own rules to family, friends and faith, and he thought laughter was the best medicine. He leaves a legacy of love, warmth and fun.

Bill was predeceased by his parents William and Georgia, grandson Brennan VanSchaick and brother-in-law Paul Basko. He is survived by his children William (Megan Mooney) Brundige and Jennifer (Matthew Armer) Brundige; sister Georgia Basko, longtime partner Janet Near, four grandsons Mitchell (Kassandra) VanSchaick, Garett (Breana) VanSchaick, Nicolas Brundige and Liam Brundige, and three great-grandsons, Lane, Weston and Kacey.

Friends and family are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on June 21, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, at Armer Funeral Home, Inc. 39 East High Street, Ballston Spa. A graveside service will be held at Galway Village Cemetery on June 22 at 10am.
