Police: 11 taken to hospital after driver crashed into 4 vehicles on Parker Road

DENVER (KDVR) — Nearly a dozen people were taken to hospitals after a multi-vehicle crash in Aurora Sunday.

The accident happened on Parker Road near Cherry Creek Reservoir.

Aurora police told FOX31 the driver of one vehicle was believed to be speeding when he crashed into at least four other vehicles.

As a result, two vehicles overturned and at least 11 people were taken to hospital, police said.

The driver of the vehicle that police say struck the other vehicles, described as an adult male, and a young man who was also in the vehicle, both suffered serious injuries in the crash.

Northbound Parker Road is closed from Quincy Avenue to E. Hampden Avenue due to the crash.

Southbound Parker Road is still open, but police say there are many backups. Police are asking the public to avoid S. Atcheson Way.

At 6:48 p.m., the police station posted on X Police said the road closure would last at least another hour.
