Topeka man arrested after stabbing Saturday

TOPEKA (KSNT) – One man is in custody after a stabbing took place in Topeka on Saturday afternoon.

On June 15, at approximately 2:37 p.m., Topeka Police Department (TPD) officers were dispatched to the 1300 block of SW Western Ave in reference to a stabbing. When officers arrived, they found a man with multiple stab wounds. They were taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

According to a TPD news release, upon further investigation, 24-year-old Xavian Locke of Topeka was arrested and taken to the Shawnee County Department of Corrections for aggravated battery and a warrant.

The victim’s condition is currently stable.
