View the rosters for the Capital Area High School Basketball All-Star Showcase

The annual Capital Area High School Basketball All-Star event is scheduled for Monday at Lansing Community College’s Gannon Gymnasium.

Admission is $10 for the event, which starts at 5:30 p.m. with the girls’ match and the boys’ match following at 7 p.m. Children aged 5 and under are admitted free.

Several all-state selections are among the players who will participate. Holt’s Rhema Dozier, Morrice’s Aubrey Rogers, Dansville’s Megan Zeitz and Portland St. Patrick’s Laynie Meredith are among the all-state selections in the girls game.

Dozier is part of an East roster that also includes Alayna Armstrong of Grand Ledge, Faith Jungwirth of Lansing Catholic, Presley Pazitka and Claire Tobias of Holt, Cherie McCants of Waverly, Isabel Thelen of St. Johns, Mara Mitchell and Ashley Weller of Jackson Northwest and Charley Mahan of Chesaning. .

The West roster includes Rogers, Thelen, Meredith, Zeitz, Mason’s Ashlynn Putman, Haslett’s Jadelyn Trotter and Durrgen McIntosh, Charlotte’s Jaelyn Baker, Olivet’s Olivea Gessner and Jackson’s Akaiya Lidge

Associated Press Division 3 Player of the Year Zander Woodruff of Laingsburg, Olivet’s Bo Lincoln, Charlotte’s Cutler Brandt and Waverly’s Deunte Phifer are among the all-state selections in the boys game.

Woodruff and Brandt are part of an East all-star roster that also includes Mason’s Luke Marlan and Kaleb Parrish, Charlotte’s Ben Buzzard, Sexton’s Devon Hodges-Smith and Hurley Young, Alma’s Cade Sutherland, Corunna’s Braylon Socia and Eaton Rapids’ Braylon Nobach belong.

The West all-star roster includes Phifer, Lincoln, Holt’s Donye Thomas and Carter Bishop, Bryce Wine of Olivet, Ionia’s Max Doty, Williamston’s Ben Smith, East Lansing’s Christian Dunn, Everett’s Lajune Lubrin and Fowlerville’s Brendan Ray.
