4-star LB target will make his decision on July 1

The Florida State Football coaching staff hosted several prospects on campus this weekend for official visits in Tallahassee. The Seminoles’ recruiting class for the 2025 cycle hasn’t generated much momentum in recent months.

However, that idea could all change if one prospect announces his intention to pledge to college. The Florida State football team has a combined record of 23-4 over the last two seasons, so the Seminoles have the on-field product unlike other teams (*cough* Miami and Florida *cough*).

Florida State is in the 60s in the 247Sports Composite rankings. That’s not where the fanbase wants to be when the Early Signing Period rolls around in December. The program has four prospects for their class: quarterback Tramell Jones Jr., offensive lineman Solomon Thomas, defensive end Javion Hilson and linebacker Ethan Pritchard.

Speaking of Pritchard, the Seminole fan base has been crucial when it comes to recruiting the linebacker position. However, the four-star prospect is considered one of the top recruits at his position.

Florida State and linebackers coach Randy Shannon are trying to get at least two linebacker prospects this cycle. We mentioned in a previous article that four-star Tavion Wallace is a prospect Seminole fans should pay attention to, as he has crystal ball predictions in favor of college.

The Seminoles hosted four-star linebacker target Zaydrius Rainey-Sale from Bethel High School in Spanaway, Washington for an official visit this weekend. Interestingly enough, Rainey-Sale once received crystal ball predictions from Florida State, but ultimately decided to commit to the home state Washington Huskies.

With Washington head football coach Kalen DeBoer taking the job at Alabama, the talented linebacker decided not to fulfill his commitment with the Huskies.

After his official visit to Florida State, he told several media members that he would announce his commitment to Florida State, Washington and UCLA, among others, on July 1. Rainey-Sale will officially visit the Huskies next weekend.

While it may be difficult to dissuade Rainey-Sale from staying closer to home, the Seminoles have given themselves a very good opportunity to land the talented linebacker.
