Dwyane Wade loves to pay tribute to his father. ‘We had the exact same dream and we had the exact same name’ said Dwyane Wade as he invited his father on stage to join him at the Hall of Fame ceremony in 2023. ‘The Flash’ honored his father again with a heartwarming message on Father’s Day.

The official Instagram page of Wade’s wine brand shared a photo of Wade smiling as he posed next to his father, Dwyane Wade Sr. The photo was taken during one of the events held in front of the Wade Cellars, while a glass of wine can be seen in Wade’s hands. . The post is captioned: β€œLet’s hear it for the dads! πŸ₯‚ Happy Father’s Day!⁠”

The two fathers have been remarkable in raising their children. The 3x champion has always praised his father and explained how he influenced his life. Wade, who is now a father of five, said his father had a family of six and earned just $73 a week. β€œWe grew up poor. It was stepmother, three stepbrothers, sister and me,Wade said during an episode of The wine down podcast where he had his father as a guest.

Just days after the podcast, Wade shared a post on his Instagram highlighting his father’s reaction to his speech. Wade Sr. stated that his son’s speech was dedicated not only to him, but to all fathers who make countless silent sacrifices to support their children and help them achieve their dreams.

β€œI felt like that speech opened the doors for all the fathers of America. We all heard that speech and we all cried at that speech, and it made a difference that we were fathers all over the world.” said Wade Sr. on the podcast. Both agreed that a father’s contribution to children’s lives often goes unnoticed. This speech was intended to put the spotlight on all fathers.

Not only Wade’s words, but also his actions show support and appreciation for the fathers. The Miami Heat legend produced a short film, β€œThe Dads,” directed by Luchina Fisher, which won a Daytime Emmy. Kudos to Wade’s continued efforts to bring about a change for the fathers.
