Miss White River Camille Cathey wins the 2024 Miss Arkansas contest

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – After months of preparation, a new Miss Arkansas was crowned Saturday evening, with Miss White River Camille Cathey taking home top honors.

Cathey is from Wynne and has worked hard in her first year of law school, but wants to prevail in a different kind of court.

Camille’s service initiative is Proudly Volunteer, and she has experience helping many people after working as a nanny for a family of four this past summer.

The winner was chosen after the top two were narrowed down to Cathey and Miss University of Central Arkansas Kennedy Holland.

She succeeds Cori Keller of Stuttgart in representing the Natural State and will now compete in the Miss America competition against competitors from across the country.

The Miss Arkansas Scholarship Program is dedicated to providing scholarships to young women to further their education.

Since 1932, the organization has helped thousands of young women, and in the past five years alone, they have awarded more than $1 million in scholarships to applicants.
