Symphony in the Park celebrates the power of community

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) – The Hartford Symphony Orchestra returned to Bushnell Park this Saturday for Symphony in the Park.

Symphony in the Park is a free annual concert organized by the HSO to promote the power of community through music in Hartford.

β€œIt’s a great way to celebrate community, the Junteenth holiday and Pride Month here in Hartford,” said Steve Collins, president and CEO of the Hartford Symphony Orchestra.

Symphony in the Park brought together 55 orchestral musicians to play American standards, pieces from major films and selections by Latino and Black composers.
