Dover, NY – One killed in crash on SR-55 near SR-22

Dover, NY (June 14, 2024) – One person was killed following a two-car crash that occurred in Dover on Tuesday, June 11. At approximately 3:45 p.m., a 2010 Chevrolet pickup was traveling on SR-55 when it was involved in a crash involving a northbound 2020 motorcycle. Kenworth tractor-trailer. The pickup driver, identified as Joseph W. Hogan, 74, of Connecticut, was transported to Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie. He was later pronounced deceased due to the severity of his injuries. The driver of the tractor-trailer was injured and taken to Vassar Hospital for treatment. Police in Dover are continuing their investigation.
