The recent news comes after the City Girls officially confirmed their split in an interview with Complex following the release of their album RAW.

“I think when the City Girls album came out and it didn’t do so well, we were just trying to do our press run. You know, the whole album rollout was just so bad because we were just in two different spaces,” JT said, adding that she and Yung Miami are older now and her former bandmate is doing her thing on the West Coast while also keeping busy on her own.

“When we got together as a group, it just didn’t click anymore, it just didn’t work anymore. I think we were both at a point where we were like, we just need to do our own thing,” she added.
